It’s an entertaining film with an intriguing female perspective and it pays homage to 1970s slasher films. Although a bit on the short side and some of its vignettes seem clunky at times, this is still an enjoyable watch in general.

Where is For the Love of Kitchens Filmed?
Experience the joy of kitchens on Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network in a new show called For the Love of Kitchens. It follows the owners of deVOL, an interior design firm that specializes in beautiful kitchens.
If you’re a fan of classic English kitchens, this series should please you! Plus, it gives viewers an inside look into deVOL’s designers and carpenters’ daily lives.
Locations filmed for Season 1
The Magnolia Network has become a hot spot for the love of kitchens. Starring deVOL Kitchens founder Paul O’Leary and Creative Director Helen Parker, the show completely transforms one of the most important rooms in any home.
Season one was shot in the United States and follows the fictional town of Hawkins. Though set in a fantasy realm, many locations are based off real towns and cities – like Byers’ house from “The Weirdo on Maple Street,” which was filmed at a home located near Atlanta.
Episode six, “The Demogorgon”, features the exterior of Hawkins National Laboratory from Emory University’s Briarcliff campus. This former psychiatric hospital is particularly haunting and earns extra gloomy points for its appearance on the series.
Season 1 also shot at several international locations, such as Benny’s Burgers in Lithia Springs (7413 Lee Road). El (Millie Bobby Brown) goes shopping at this restaurant during chapter four, “The Monster,” which was filmed there.
Chapter five, “Dig Dug,” features Nancy and Jonathan staying at The Scottish Inns Motor Motel located at 7300 Main Street in Stone Mountain, Georgia. El purchases Eggo waffles from the store El visits in Chapter Six,” “The Monster,” which is owned and operated by a family-owned business located in Palmetto, Georgia. Similarly, Bethany United Methodist Church provides the cemetery setting for chapter Seven “The Bathtub,” set during a funeral scene.
Locations filmed for Season 2
If you share our passion for kitchens, keep an eye out for the deVOL Kitchens team as they travel around the UK and beyond, completely transforming home kitchens in a series of inspiring episodes. This new addition to Magnolia Network can be streamed right now on Discovery+, HBO Max and the Magnolia app.
Season 2 of deVOL Kitchens takes them to several locations, such as Trematon Castle in Cornwall and Wimbledon in South London. Additionally, they renovate a 350-year-old fireplace at a cottage in Darlington, England.
Some of the more unusual filming locations include an upside-down psychiatric hospital in Douglasville and a former schoolhouse in Cambridgeshire, England. We’ve included links to each below but be sure to watch all episodes on Magnolia Network – you won’t be disappointed!
Bridgerton also makes a return visit to Old Royal Naval College, now Lady Whistledown’s paper-handling shop. Open to the public and featuring colonnades adorned with peacocks – beware!
Other notable filming locations for the series include West Wycombe Park in Buckinghamshire and Ascot Racecourse, which appears in several scenes as Anthony takes a ride on its polo grounds – which also serve as an actual horseracing track.
Locations filmed for Season 3
The show was set in a world filled with witches, vampires and daemons – and some of the locations used for filming were stunning. From Falkland Palace to Callendar House, here are some of the locations featured throughout the first three seasons of the series.
Falkland Palace is one of the most iconic locations from Game of Thrones, featured in several scenes from Season 2. Not only was the castle itself filmed there, but there are also other buildings and locations within – including Claire’s bedroom, Bruce fountain and cellar kitchen that served as an apothecary room.
Dysart Harbour was another location featured in the series, most notably when Jamie is sailing his boat in Episode 7 of Season 3. You can visit this harbourmaster’s house if you want to see it for yourself; it’s easily accessible too if you just have to look.
It’s worth visiting Butts County Probate Court in Jackson, Georgia – this was where Joyce Byers’ office was shot during Season 1. While this location may take more time to get to from Atlanta than other filming locations, it’s well worth the drive if you want to see where your favourite characters work!
Locations filmed for Season 4
In the fourth season of You, Penn Badgley’s serial killer Joe Goldberg returns to London and infiltrates a circle of wealthy Brits by posing as literature professor Jonathan Moore. But as Joe’s memories from his past begin to unravel, he will soon fall back into old patterns and get into trouble once more.
To make Joe’s move seem realistic, the show filmed at various locations around London. These included iconic landmarks like St Pancras Station, Knebworth House and Notting Hill.
Thankfully, it appears these filming locations are open to visitors! So if you’re in London and want to check out some of the show’s iconic locations, now you can!
In addition to Knebworth House, the production also shot at Gaddesden Forest Estate. Owned by the Halsey family for over 500 years, this historic country house offers an expansive woodland setting perfect for the production team.
Although most scenes were shot in the woods, a few took place on the property’s main lawn. Open to visitors, this location is perfect for an afternoon walk and picnic – we highly recommend checking it out!
Another popular London spot was University of London’s Royal Holloway campus, which served as Joe’s university course and is just an hour outside the city center.
Locations filmed for Season 5
The show’s creators utilize a range of locations for their productions. Furthermore, they create sets that can be utilized in different scenes.
One of the most iconic sets featured in Season 3 is Anavrin, a grocery store located at Urban Radish in downtown LA.
Another setting featured in the series is Vineyards at Porter Ranch, a shopping mall situated near Burbank, California.
Though not quite as large, it’s worth visiting if you want to see where some of the more dramatic scenes were shot. Plus, there are plenty of stores within easy walking distance and it makes for a fun place to explore!
If you want to see the actual barn from Episode 6, Fort Langley is your perfect destination. This charming town has been featured in many movies and TV shows over the years.
The town also houses a cemetery, so you can pay your respects at Abercorn Church – used for the funeral scene in Episode 7 of Season 4. Additionally, visitors to Midhope Castle and Hopetoun House can explore nearby attractions.
Locations filmed for Season 6
One of our favorite shows on the Magnolia Network is “For the Love of Kitchens.” This show follows deVOL Kitchens as they design kitchens in homes around the globe. It has become an international hit and we can’t wait for Season 6 to hit Netflix!
Season eleven of the show saw multiple scenes shot around the world, including Australia, England, Scotland and the United States.
For instance, we witnessed the team redesign a kitchen in a 220-year-old Georgian home located on the grounds of Trematon Castle in Cornwall. Additionally, we visited an English cottage with an ancient fireplace and its former schoolhouse in Darlington.
We were also given a behind the scenes look at an Edinburgh pub on Royal Mile. It’s the perfect spot for enjoying a drink and some food while exploring this vibrant city.
Another location featured on the show was a North Carolina plantation. This location was often used for filming episodes and can be seen in Episode 2 of Season 4.
We also witnessed scenes set at Harvard University. Here, Hopper went into the Upside Down to save Will and Bob met his end. Gilmorehill campus in Glasgow served as the filming location for these scenes despite it not resembling any actual university at all. https://www.youtube.com/embed/aJM16q7567A
